Meet Sairam, JCI St. Paul 2020 President
Hey guys! My name is Sairam, and after volunteering in the summer, 2019 President Sarah Philippe inspired me to join as a member and put my enthusiasm for helping others to good use at her chapter. I am extremely humbled to be the new president, and overwhelmed with the support I’ve received! I still have a lot to learn in the non-profit space, and I would love to hear from Jaycees far and wide about how best to apply myself or any ideas you may have that I can work on to improve our community! In the meantime, I’d like to tell you a bit more about myself. I’m 22 years old, and I graduated in May from Purdue with a degree in marketing and management, #BoilerUp!
Outside of my time in chapter operations, I manage my own marketing agency, work for an eSports team, and DJ weddings on the weekends. I love playing video games, learning new things, drinking coffee, and the color blue. I think there’s a disconnect in the chain that connects individuals to non-profits, gets people informed about non-profits, and between communities that could benefit from non-profits but don’t know how to reach them. I aim to be the president that bridges these gaps, and facilitates open discussion about how to solve these problems in the future. Feel free to ask me about any questions you may have for me about my interests, my intentions as president or if you’d like to meet with me to address any pressing concerns I may not be aware of.
