On July 18, 2018, JCI St. Paul will be hosting a Service Social at Sociable Cider Werks in Minneapolis (1500 Fillmore St. NE). This free event combines two of the major components of our mission: community service and networking.
What is a Service Social?
A Service Social is a networking event which provides participants a way to serve their community while meeting new people, having fun, and enjoying a drink. At this Service Social, the Jaycees will be collecting books for their Little Free Library. Bring a book to donate, get a drink on us! (Limit one per guest)
What is a Little Free Library?
A Little Free Library is a free public book exchange which allows community members to engage with one another in a unique way – through their favorite books. In 2016, the JCI St. Paul built a Little Free Library for SafeCity Community Center, a St. Paul organization which aims to provide a safe sober space for youth and young adults in Frogtown. We installed the Little Free Library at 561 Edmund Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55103 and has maintained it during the last two years to ensure that it is always stocked with books for community members to take to read.
Donate a book, get a drink on us!
We love Service Socials because they allow us to meet you and introduce you to the causes and organizations we are working with. That is why for this Service Social, we want to buy you a drink! If you donate a book for our Little Free Library, you will get a Sociable Cider Werks drink on us (limit one per attendee).
We hope to see you at our free Service Social event on July 18! Please contact us for more details at info@jcistpaul.org or click here to RSVP.
