One of the Twin Cities’ most popular annual events is coming up: Grand Ole Day! This is one of the most anticipated days of the year for many people, including the St. Paul Jaycees. That’s because Grand Ole Day is one of our major fundraising efforts for the year!

What is Grand Ole Day?

For those who aren’t yet familiar, Grand Ole Day is a festival that takes place along Grand Avenue in St. Paul on the first Sunday in June, serving as an unofficial kickoff to the summer festival season. While the family-friendly event is mostly free, one of the best parts of Grand Ole Day is the chance to enjoy live music outdoors. Local bands play throughout the day on four different stages; access to these areas is available only to those 21+ with the purchase of a $10 wristband. This is where you’ll find us! JCI St. Paul will be selling the wristbands at Dixie’s on Grand all day Sunday!

We need your help!

JCI St. Paul is excited to be a part of Grand Ole Day, as we earn a portion of the sales for the wristbands that we sell. We use this money throughout the year to make other events possible, such as our recent sponsorship of Heart of Dance’s Colors of the Rainbow Team Match. There are two ways that you can help us at Grand Ole Day on June 3.

1. Volunteer at the wristband booth. There are two separate shifts, and we are looking for 12 people for each shift. Get a friend to register with you, and enjoy the sunshine and live music while helping JCI St. Paul raise funds! Registration for volunteering can be done here.

2. Buy your wristband from us! Even if you can’t commit the hours to sell wristbands as a volunteer, you can help by buying your wristband from us. Tell all your family and friends to get their wristbands at Dixie on Grand’s to help support us!
